The garden

How nice it is to feel the sun on our backs and begin, as all English do, to complain about the heat and wish for cooler days (we are never satisfied!). Temperatures rose today, and more is expected :-) It looks like the barbecue will need to be brushed down and cleared of cobwebs...

Each day the garden seems to have sprouted up in hours and now we have more and more swaths of tall flowers waving in the breeze brought from the sea.

A stream of Aliums

White bells

Added colour surprises us!

On the 'foodie' side of planting, the garden is beginning to fruit as well as flower. Raspberries are sneaking their way through the back fence from our neighbour's stock...

I wonder how many we will be able to find...?

The olive tree is covered in buds which we can only hope will be our first crop this year...

Look at the plethora of tiny buds!

...and remember the angelica I bought recently? Well it likes it in the spot R chose and is now about quadruple the size!! Time to start thinking about crystallizing it.

Angelica gone wild!

As long as the sun keeps shining I think the tomatoes might be next...
