The Feathers, Woodstock

Taking T back to his new Uni digs is another great excuse to have a night away and sample the delights of The Feathers hotel in Woodstock. Woodstock is home to the beautiful Blenheim Palace and sits just north west of Oxford. The Feathers is a wonderful, quirky boutique hotel in the centre of the village: http://www.feathers.co.uk/

We were welcomed and shown our room, at the top of an adjoining town house which housed 5 rooms, and had its own front door (you could almost secretly believe it was your own house)! The room was fantastic and beautifully decorated. I would definitely recommend a visit if you are passing that way.

And then there was the food (didn't think I'd miss that out!)...

A real treat and superbly presented. Here's just a sample of the meals we ate...

Lobster ravioli
Salmon starter
Good 'ol fish and chips!
deconstructed Snicker

A chocolate finale - yum!

Who couldn't be impressed with the perfectly presented dishes. It was a tough choice, so there will definitely have to be a return visit! ;-) Thank you to all the staff too, who were attentive and helpful - we will be back.
